2019

David Hsu (徐世岡律師) is Of Counsel with Givens and Johnston, PLLC in Houston, Texas and chair of the firm’s Asian Region practice group.

He has a broad-based international trade and customs practice representing clients in currency seizures,  customs law and export controls, tariff classification, anti-dumping and countervailing duty cases and developing import and export compliance programs.

David also assists the firm in the handling of enforcement actions such as petitions, penalties and forfeitures on behalf of the firm’s clients.

In addition to being active with the Houston and Asian American Bar Associations, David also volunteers with Sister Cities of Houston, Houston-Taipei Society, Asian Pacific American Heritage Society, Chinese Professional Club, and St. Cuthbert’s Episcopal School in Houston. 2019 will be David’s 10th year participating in the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Equal Access to Justice Champions program, providing pro bono legal services to those in need.

David is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. He holds a J.D. from South Texas College of Law and a B.A. in Psychology and Asian Studies and a Business minor from the University of Texas at Austin.
